Question by cheerio: What percentage of people who get cancer die from it?
I know in most developed countries the chance of getting cancer is 33% but what I want to know is what percentage of those 33% die from it? I’ve looked on most of the major cancer research websites and I can’t find the answer.

You won’t be able to find a definitive answer because there are many types of cancer and the outcome of treatment can very from person to person. there are also undiagnosed people who die from cancer and people in whom the cancer re-occurs time and time again. It’s an extremely broad area with infinite variants.

well, some types of cancer can be cured if caught with in a certain time, others they cant guarantee they will be able to cure it. so the percent of people who die from cancer is about 10%. just a guess

If they take chemotherapy 97.3% of them die within five years. If they don’t take chemotherapy or radiation, their chances are slightly higher.
